How to Take Care of Guppy Fish (Beginner Guide)

Guppies are a favorite for good reason—they’ve got vibrant colors, lots of energy, and they’re easy to look after. If you’re new to fish-keeping, these little guys are the perfect place to start. Here’s what you need to know to keep them healthy and happy. 1. Tank Size Even though guppies are tiny, they still want room to swim. For just a few, aim for at least a 10–15 liter tank. Got more guppies? Go bigger. Crowded tanks stress them out and lead to trouble. 2. Water Conditions If there’s one thing to get right, it’s water quality.- Temperature: Keep it between 24°C and 28°C.- pH: Aim for 6.8 to 7.8.- Change out 20–30% of the water each week.Make sure the new water is free of chlorine—guppies don’t like chemicals. 3.
